I believe this photo was taken by my grandfather Miklos on his honeymoon with my grandmother, this was the balcony of the hotel where they stayed.

“I found his appearance intriguing. A very alert face, high forehead, sunken cheeks under prominent cheekbones, eyes alive behind the gold-rimmed glasses. He was tall. And his voice was warm and engaging. “--Veronica Foldes Frame

Wedding

My grandparents, Miklos Erdelyi and Veronica Foldes married on August 22, 1940 in Budapest. There were 3 steps (she says)—town clerk, private service with her father at the Methodist Church, and a small service at the Dohany-utca Jewish synagogue (I believe this photo is in front of the synagogue).

The reception was at the Lukacs confectionary on Andrassy Utca for about 70 guests.
